The Lightbeans plug-in is free of charge and is compatible with SketchUp 2022 and subsequent versions, on both Windows and Mac.

You can install it from your SketchUp software in the Extension Warehouse tab, or by visiting the Sketchup website.

How do I install the Lightbeans SketchUp plug-in from within my SketchUp software?

1. Open SketchUp

  • Launch SketchUp.

2. Access the Warehouse extension

  • In the menu bar, click on Window.

  • Select Extension Warehouse from the drop-down menu.

3. Log in to your account

  • If you haven't already done so, log in with your Trimble account. You'll need an account to download extensions.

4. Search for Lightbeans extension

  • Use the search bar at the top of the page and enter “Lightbeans”.

5. Download and install the extension

  • Press the Install button.

6. Activate or manage extensions

  • Once installed, the extension will be available in the Extensions menu or in a new toolbar under this icon.

  • If it does not appear, return to the Extension Manager to check that it is activated.

7. Restart SketchUp (if necessary)
