Brava Roof Tile Simplifies The Design Workflow with Lightbeans Collaboration

Brava Roof Tile materials are now available as seamless texture files.

September 16, 20252 min read

For more than two decades, Brava Roof Tiles has redefined roofing with products that combine architecturally pleasing materials with sustainability. Today, the company takes its digital offering a step further by digitizing its entire line of premium synthetic roofing tiles into ultra-realistic texture files in collaboration with Lightbeans.

Brava's products have always stood apart. Their composite tiles, partially made with plastic waste,  authentically replicate the look of Spanish barrel clay, hand-split cedar shake, and quarried slate---while offering a lightweight, durable, and sustainable alternative. They are approved for installation across North America and beyond, from luxury residences to large-scale commercial projects, bringing design freedom to architects and builders alike. Now, those same products can be explored and tested in the digital design environment before a single tile is ordered.

Working with Lightbeans was an eye-opener. We wanted a partner who understood how architects and designers actually work. Lightbeans gave us a professional, user-friendly platform that puts our products in their hands in a way that feels natural and intuitive.

Sam Ballard, Creative Operations Director at Brava

Through Lightbeans, Brava's roofing textures are available in ready-to-use files for the most common design and visualization tools, including Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Rhino, Enscape, Twinmotion, and V-Ray. Architects and designers can simply drag and drop Brava tiles into their 3D models, seeing in real time how different colors and profiles interact with their projects. These digital assets remove guesswork, speeding up the design workflow by allowing professionals to evaluate aesthetics, scale, and compatibility before requesting a physical sample.

For Brava, the partnership was driven by strategy as much as technology. The company sought a centralized platform to host and distribute their textures, one built specifically for the design community. Beyond extending brand visibility to Lightbeans' fast-growing network of specifiers, Brava also saw the opportunity to gather meaningful insights: analytics that reveal which colors are most popular, which markets show the strongest interest, and even where to invest in future product development. Those insights could shape decisions such as retiring underperforming finishes, launching new shades, or targeting growth in emerging regions.

By digitizing their products with Lightbeans, Brava Roof Tiles is meeting the architecture and design community where they already work---inside their digital models. And in doing so, they are not only expanding the reach of their brand but also making the design journey smoother, smarter, and more creative for professionals around the world.
